Ear Candling is a safe, simple and non-invasive natural cleansing method that uses long hollow Ear Candles to extract earwax and other debris from the ear canal.
Candling is said to stimulate the immune system and peripheral blood circulation. During an Ear Candling treatment you will be lying on your side, and the lit candle is gently inserted into the ear canal. A soft crackling sound is heard, you may also hear a popping sound as chunks of wax are dislodged from the ear.
The burning of the candle creates a warming vacuum (like a chimney), to draw excess matter from the ears.
If you suffer from frequent sinus head-aches or experience dizziness or if you notice a build-up of ear wax that is interfering with your hearing ability then Ear Candling may be just what you need. Ear Candling may also be used to improve mental clarity and restore balance in the body.
Others who would benefit from a Candling session are those who work around animals or in a dusty environment, the elderly who experience hearing loss or young children plagued with recurrent ear infections or earaches.
Benefits may include:
- Reduced ear pain
- Improved sense of taste and smell
- Reduced ringing in ears
- Equalised pressure in ear
- Improved lymphatic fluid flow
- Relief of dizziness
- Reduced stress and tension
- Relief of “swimmer's” ear
- Clearer thinking
You should not choose to have Ear Candling treatment if you have had recent surgery to the ear, if the ear-drum has ruptured from increased pressure, cysts in the ears, tubes in the ears, an artificial ear drum or cochlear implants.
